Commissions
Commissions are available at the listed rates. Rates are determined primarily by instrumentation, number of parts, and the length of finished piece. Rates may be negotiated.
I do offer a 50% student discount for collegiate students!*
Solo/Chamber - $100/minute of music
Solo & chamber ensembles of up to 8 instruments.
Small Ensemble - $150/minute of music
Chamber winds, string orchestra, and other small ensembles.
Large Ensemble - $250/minute of music
Wind ensemble/wind band**, full orchestra, and string orchestra w/ additional instruments.

Travel/lodging, in the case of a long-distance visit
Grade 6+ (Large Ensemble Only)
While all writing requires effective care and attention, writing for extreme difficulties normally adds additional time to the engraving process.
*This applies to currently enrolled university students. Not applicable for Large Ensemble commissions.
**Wind Ensemble will generally refer to one-on-a-part with some doubling. Wind Band will refer to a typical band setting where most parts are doubled.
